How long do the different components last with a Solar PV system?
The inverter and other components are likely to only come with a guarantee of around 5 years, whilst you could expect a guarantee of around 20 to 25 years for the actual solar panels.
What happens if I wish to sell my home?
You have to consider how much the new owners consider the investment is worth to them.
Will I have power if the mains electricity supply is interrupted?
For safety reasons you will stop generating power, however at an extra cost, you can have the system modified such that your property will still have the capability to use the electricity in the event of a power cut.
