Visit to the NRM (National Railway Museum) York
Although admission was free the car parking cost was high compared to parking in many of the Park and Rides on the outskirts of York. £2.40 return each worked out cheaper than parking on site. We decided to get off in York and see some of the sites while walking.
Following the signposts that are all around the centre it is easy to locate the museum. The only area is on the approach to the bridge near the rail station. The photograph shows this while the third photo shows the walking tunnel under the rails.
Once through the tunnel you just have a short walk to the entrance to the museum.
