iPhone, what is all the hype?
18 November 2007 The iPhone is made by Apple Inc. The screen
also acts like a touch pad this there are no actual keys. The camera is only 2.0
Mega pixels as compared to the Nokia 95's 5 Mega pixel camera, perhaps one
feature lacking is the ability to record video. Like the iPod you can download
iTunes onto your MAC or PC and transfer them. The EDGE connectivity is reported
to be slower than 3G but I have no definitive proof on this as yet, reports
indicate that in the UK the infrastructure is not fully in place and thus
connection maybe limited to major cities.
17 November 2007 You will have like me read some of the hype
regarding the iPhone. Let us look further into it.
It would appear that only one mobile network in the UK can
officially be used with iPhones. The company is O2. At the time of me looking
the cost is £269 and with a term contract of 18 months. The minimum monthly
subscription is £35 which gets you 200 minutes, 200 SMS text messages, unlimited
data access (subject to normal restrictions), 7,500 Wi-Fi Hot Spots, visual
voice mail, Special roaming rates with ITS.
I calculate that to be £899 for the 18 month period.
