Digital Command and Control (DCC)
IntroductionDCC is a standard that allows individual locomotives to be controlled on a model railway layout (model railroad US), additionally allowing the control of the layout. Looking for information on DCC I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of technical jargon that is given on many websites. On this, and subsequent pages I shall attempt to lead the reader on a magical journey of understanding of DCC at a snail's pace and I make no excuses in doing so. If a technical word such as Diode is shown then this will be linked to a page to allow the user to gain an understanding. Let the journey begin DCC What can it do? |
