Canal Walk from Shireoaks to Kiverton Park
Arrived at Shireoaks just after 11:00 on January 14 2012. It was a cold and frosty day, however the sun was bright and only a slight breeze. Before setting off had a look around the marina there. Links giving more information can be found at the bottom of the page.
Shireoaks Marina
From walking around the marina which I gather is close to where the old shireoaks Colliery was situated. time to head along the canal to Kiverton Park.

Boundary Lock No 41a
The boundary lock is so named since it is on the border between Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. Mining subsidence in the area meant that this new lock needed to be added.
