BMW Series 1 116i.
2005 saw me buying my first ever brand spanking new car. It is a BMW series
1. More specifically a 116i.
Good things.
Experience.
Although I am impressed with the many gadgets, the ride is not much different
to the Rover 600 I had before. You can still feel road bumps and hear the road
noise coming from. Acceleration is slow compared to a lot of cars I have driven
and it is not mine as Mandy's brother is the same too.
Problems.
 | The engine management light came on although the car kept running.
 | On the visit to the garage no fault was found, but a download was
required |
| The car was collected for the 6 hours needed to download the
software to the on board computers. The light is no longer on thank
goodness. |

| The windscreen was hit by a bit of metal and caused a crack to appear.
My advice is to make sure your insurance covers the windscreen without
losing no claims discount. AutoWindows did the work and so far this repair
is OK. |
